Leak Proof Coffee Tumbler

Are you tired of drinking cold coffee out of your leaky coffee tumbler? For years I suffered with my stainless steel coffee tumbler that leaked every time that I tipped it over-which happened every time that I used it. I tried just about every brand. While the nissan/thermos kept my coffee warm, it was not leak proof. It seemed like my desk and car were always wet with spilled coffee. My pants always had coffee stains on them.

Last winter, my friend asked me if I had tried the Contigo stainless coffee tumbler.  I told her that I had never seen or heard of it.  I bought two of them was so impressed, that I bought two more as back ups and for friends.

What is so incredible about these coffee tumblers is that they are guaranteed to be leak proof with their Auto Seal technology.  I often carry one in my back pack upside and to this day, I have never had a spill.

To drink from the tumbler you hold down a button on the side of the lid. The only thing I had to get used to was letting the tiny amount of liquid that would gather at the mouth opening divot drain before releasing the button, otherwise it flicks it up into your face!  The reason this happens is because the tumbler is vacuum sealed.  when released quickly, it erupts like an open pressure cooker.  My only complaint about the Contigo is that the coffee is too hot to drink immediately.   I open the lid many times to cool it off. How can you top that?  I mean, we want want hot coffee, right?

My wife is a total klutz when it comes to drinking and carrying a coffee tumbler.  She used to carry coffee in her purse!  I solved that problem with the Contigo.  My wife is also very forgetful.  I would make coffee for both of us first thing in the morning and she would not get around to drinking it for 3 or 4 hours.  Surprisingly, the Contigo coffee tumbler keeps hers warm.

Contigo makes these tumblers in silver, blue, and red.  If possible, stay away from the red and blue if you are very active and take your coffee tumbler everywhere you go because the paint will eventually chip away.  It’s too bad Contigo does not hard anodize the color to make it permanent. iced coffee cups
